Lumbee Guaranty Bank receives highest ratings - 5-Stars from BauerFinancial Inc.. BauerFinancial, Inc.  has been analyzing and reporting on the financial condition of the nation’s banking industry since 1983.  Through the years BauerFinancial has earned the reputation of “the nation’s bank rating service”   

Under BauerFinancial’s rating system, five stars represent Superior bank performance and is the firm’s highest rating.  The rating is based upon an analysis of current financial reports that are filed with federal regulators four times a year.  The quarterly data is subjected to thorough analysis and compared with historical data from Lumbee Guaranty Bank.  Upon completion of the analysis, a star-rating is assigned based on a scale of zero to five stare with five stars being the strongest.

NOTICE OF CHANGES IN TEMPORARY FDIC INSURANCE COVERAGE FOR TRANSACTION ACCOUNTS

All funds in a “non-interest-bearing transaction account” are insured in full by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation from December 31, 2010, through December 31, 2012. This temporary unlimited coverage is in addition to, and separate from, the coverage of at least $250,000 available to depositors under the FDIC’s general deposit insurance rules.

The term “noninterest-bearing transaction account” includes a traditional checking account or demand deposit account on which the insured depository institution pays no interest. It also includes Interest on Lawyers Trust Accounts (“IOLTAs”). It does not include other accounts, such as traditional checking or demand deposit accounts that may earn interest, NOW accounts and money-market deposit accounts.
